Let me give you the diameter definition now before i start solving some simple examples which will help us find the diameter of a circle..

Diameter of a circle:- The line which passes through center of the circle touching the end points. The line which cuts the circle into two equal halves is called a diameter of a circle.

Here below i have some simple example to explain you how to calculate the diameter.

Find the diameter of a circle if the radius is 35centimeter.

Solution:

Given radius = 35

Diameter =?

Diameter = radius * 2

= 35 * 2

= 70

So the diameter of the given circle is 70 centimeter.
